On Tuesday the U14 Athletes represented The Abbey in the ‘A’ final of the Reading and District Athletics League. 

The team faced scorching temperatures as they battled against The Holt, Piggott, Highdown and Queen Annes. We are so proud of all of our athletes, who pushed themselves to their limits and came 2nd overall.

New personal bests for Lily in the 600m, Nimechi in the shot putt and Eloise in the long jump, and furthermore, Serena was awarded a ‘best performance’ trophy for her performance in the 150m sprint. 

The commitment of the Junior athletics squad this season has been fantastic, both at training and in competitions. It has certainly made team selection extremely tricky! Well done to all who have been involved.
