Day one:
Hola a todos, today we had a very busy day. We spent the morning immersing ourselves in the Spanish language and learnt a lot about the local food and customs, and liked the sound of paella. Later, we spent the day exploring the city centre and seeing some of the most famous Valencian landmarks, and we did a bit of shopping at the end of the day. In our free time, we got to chat a bit more to our host families and practice some of the Spanish we had learned earlier. It was a full day, but we can\u2019t wait to explore Valencia and its culture even more tomorrow. \u00a1Hasta luego!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Day two:

Hola! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

We started off today with a visit to the oceanographic – the largest aquarium in Europe! We loved seeing wildlife from all over the world and really enjoyed watching the dolphin show. Unfortunately we got caught in the rain after visiting the oceanographic but enjoyed our day nevertheless. Afterwards, we each had a cafe con leche – they\u2019re much stronger than the ones in England! In the afternoon, we had school, learned about the many different languages in Spain, and learned that \u201cEgun on\u201d is \u2018good day\u2019 in Vasco\/Euskera! We ended our day with tapas, our personal favourite was the patatas bravas. We then returned to our casa and chatted with our host about our days!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Day 3<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Today was another busy day in Valencia, where the sun was shining, thankfully! After starting our day with breakfast in our host family\u2019s home, we took a lovely walk through the city. We explored the famous \u2018mercadillo del caba\u00f1al\u2019, which had a huge variety of fresh food to offer as well as many market stalls that we had time to look around. After that, we continued our walk down to the beach and enjoyed the sea and relaxing on the beach. Our next stop was a brilliant ice cream shop or \u2018helader\u00eda,\u2019 and that was a great way to refresh ourselves ahead of the afternoon. We then visited the \u2018Museo Fallero\u2019 to learn more about the famous Valencian festival \u2018Las Fallas.\u2019 Finally, we headed across town to watch an amazing authentic flamenco show which ended the day perfectly. \u00a1Ole!<\/p>\n\n\n\n
