Wonderful Woodwind!

on

The final Interludes Recital before the half-term break showcased two instruments from the woodwind family.

Emma in Upper III opened the recital with a spirited jazz piece on the bassoon. Performances on this instrument have been rare in Interludes Recitals so far, but we hope to hear more of them as the academic year progresses!

Rebekah then followed with a piece by Reinecke on the flute which she has been learning for a forthcoming exam. This music was full of contrast in dynamics and mood, and Rebekah coped with these changes admirably.

Our audience has been unfailingly supportive so far this term, and we hope to see everyone again after the holiday, as we have yet more musical delights in store!
