The Art Department was hugely excited to support the Whiteknights Artists Studio Trail again this year. This walking tour of artists’ studios in the University of Reading Area is a wonderfully friendly, well attended, community event. The Abbey’s Turret House Gallery was one of the 27 venues, open 11am-6pm both days. Our own artists in residence Kristin Rawcliffe and Emily Kelly, our Art Technician Liz Mackereth and our Textiles Technician Michelle Edmunds were all there to greet visitors over the course of the weekend.

Despite the balmy weather conditions there was still a good turnout with visitors regularly expressing their joy of seeing The Abbey Artists exhibition.
