Aishani at The Woodley Festival
Aishani was over the moon to secure 2nd place in the Piano Solo Stage 2. She performed two pieces ‘Melody in F’ and ‘Winter’. Competing in a group with ten other contestants she kept her composure, and though a bit nervous as it was her first public piano performance, she played beautifully.
It captivated the audience and earned high praise from the Adjudicator, who noted ‘Carefully shaped and nicely steady. Very Expressive! Super!!’
She is excited and eagerly looking forward to next year.

Luciana Wins Romantic Piano Class at Woodley Festival
The Woodley Festival of Music and Arts was filled with extraordinary talent this year, but one performance stood out among the rest. Our extraordinary pianist Luciana captivated the audience and judges alike, winning first place in the Romantic Piano class.
Miss Mogio says: “When she played, the entire room went quiet, mesmerised by the beautiful music she was creating—you could hear a pin drop in the moment!” With a beautifully expressive interpretation and technical finesse, Luciana’s performance showcased both her deep understanding of the Romantic repertoire and her dedication to music. The judges praised her musical sensitivity, dynamic control, and ability to bring out the emotional depth of the piece.
The Woodley Festival is renowned for celebrating musical excellence, and this victory demonstrates Luciana’s hard work and passion. Congratulations to her on this outstanding achievement!

Maryam’s Success
Maryam in Upper Prep Y performed in Verse Speaking at the Woodley Festival of Music and Arts on the 15th March. She performed two poems from memory – Bed In Summer by Robert Stevenson and Homework Machine by Shel Silverstein.
Maryam showcased her outstanding ability to speak fluently and confidently in front of a wide audience. The adjudicator comments included how Maryam very sincerely and maturely captured and conveyed the poets thoughts in the first poem, and very effectively shared the humour of the second poem with the audience.
For her huge efforts, Maryam was awarded an Honours certificate and medal for her brilliant performance. Well done Maryam!

Megan’s Achievement
Megan entered the Instrumental section of the Woodley Festival on Sunday in the Piano Solo Stage 1 Beginners class. She played two pieces and impressed the judges, gaining 1st Place and Honours. Committed practice, determination and the sheer enjoyment of anything musical ensured success on the day!
