Upper VI French A-level final lesson

on

The Upper VI A-level students had a creative final lesson: they built Eiffel Towers out of wafers and icing and the Louvre Pyramid out of marshmallows and toothpicks. They had to win their ingredients by answering grammar questions! The results were impressive and tasted great! We say goodbye to this cohort of students and wish them all the best for the exam season ahead and we will leave you with a few quotations from the girls:

“French A-level will prove to be really useful and I am planning to use it during my year abroad as part of my International Business degree” – Olivia.

“I enjoyed my individual research project on Aimé Césaire, a Caribbean author of my own choice” – Violet.

“Having got to a certain level in French has allowed me to understand the lyrics of Francophone singers such as Angèle”- Tiffany.

“I really enjoyed learning about francophone culture and discussing current affairs rather than focusing only on the language like the GCSE course” – Bea.
