This week we created strawberry tarts – we had the option to add jam on top and personally I chose to as I love strawberry jam. 

The piece was a complicated dish but we managed it effectively and created wonderful results that turned out really well. 

This year as a whole we have been experimenting with different types of pastries from rough puff to filo, creating many different and delicious dishes. I believe that we have ended our year on a high note by creating these lovely tarts and we’ve learned a lot from each of our lessons. 

I would like to thank my teacher, Mrs Mair, as she has helped each one of us since she joined and encouraged us even when we were struggling.
