Upper IV Business Challenge

on

Last Tuesday, we had a day at school where we were in groups creating a business throughout the whole day. We had to work together in a team and assign jobs to each other. Our business was called Doctors on Demand.

Doctors on Demand (D.O.D)  is an online website for customers to gain knowledge about their medical problems. D.O.D is able to help you gain a healthy body and healthy sense of mind while using our platforms. By providing a safe and confidential environment for people seeking help or advice.

We made a website, physical models of our product packages, surveys, ads, events and overall the aesthetic of our company to help us pitch the idea as best as we can. I think our best quality was working as a team, and as cliche as that sounds, it was true, our attributes help sculpt the winning business that we know today.

Winners of the UIV Small Business Challenge

Following a tremendous day of teambuilding, planning and implementing their ideas, the Upper IV students produced some amazing ideas for businesses.

The judges were unanimous in their praise of all the student teams and remarked on how focused they all were for the whole day. They also commented on the professionalism of the entire cohort and hoped that they would continue to harness the energy and enthusiasm that was shown during the competition. This made judging the winners extremely difficult but a decision was finally made:

Most Innovative Product Award LuxF
Best Operations Award Candelle
Best Presentation Award Picture Perfect
Best Marketing Award Bark
Best Teamwork Award Fusion
