Upper III have successfully completed their pyjama project, creating a cute pair of shorts and a beautiful, tie-dyed t-shirt with an applique design.
Each student has been able to create something unique, firstly selecting their own fabrics for the shorts and expanding their skills by using a paper pattern to cut them out and using various machine techniques to construct them. Additional personalisation was made by adding a ribbon bow detail on the front of the shorts.
Fun was had learning different tie-dye techniques for the t-shirts, with the students evaluating their experimentations, and selecting which to take further and use for their t-shirt. Applique, a decorative technique whereby one fabric is applied and sewn to another, was used by some to create motifs to adorn their t-shirt.
We are so proud of their progress and their wonderful outcomes and hope they enjoy wearing their pyjamas!
