Upper II Shine at The Dolphin School Athletics Competition

on

On Wednesday 25 June, in hot and humid conditions, eight Upper II pupils travelled to The Dolphin School to take part in an exciting athletics competition. Competing against five other schools—and often against older pupils—our athletes represented The Abbey with determination and pride across a range of track and field events.

All track events were run in heats, with only the fastest overall time securing a gold medal in the final presentations. A huge congratulations to Amelia, who won gold in the shot put, and to Charlotte, who sprinted to gold in the 150m—fantastic individual achievements!

Every athlete’s effort contributed to the overall team score, and we were delighted to finish in 3rd place, just three points shy of second. Well done to all our pupils for their commitment and team spirit throughout the event.
