Upper II Blast off into Space!

on

Upper II had a fantastic time exploring the Winchester Science Centre. The day began with an engaging workshop where students investigated the best materials to reflect light.

Using special glasses, they were able to split light rays and observe their fascinating properties. Next, it was time to blast off into space in the Planetarium! The students were in awe as they journeyed through the Milky Way, zooming past planets in our solar system. They were captivated by the stunning visuals and the wealth of fascinating facts they learned about constellations, including how they got their names.

It was a magical experience that sparked curiosity about the universe, and the students couldn’t stop talking about it afterward. After the Planetarium adventure, we explored the many hands-on exhibits around the museum where the pupils had the chance to dive deeper into a wide range of scientific concepts. Upper II left the Winchester Science Centre with their minds buzzing with new knowledge, and everyone agreed that it was a day full of fun, learning, and inspiration.
