Upper I – Learning Maths Practically

on

The Upper I students have started off their maths learning for this year, learning all about ‘place value’ with numbers going to 10 000. Students have had the opportunity to use manipulatives to work through some of the trickier concepts, such as how to flexibly partition a 4-digit number. It has been a lot of fun remembering why we enjoy maths lessons after such a long holiday, but our brains are engaged and we are very excited to move onto Roman Numerals very soon!
