Under 18 County Championships

Thirteen students travelled to Bradfield College on Wednesday 28 September for the Berkshire Schools Under 18 Girls Hockey Tournament.

Although this was an experienced squad, we had been unable to get together as a team prior to the tournament, so we were all a little apprehensive!

Despite this, the team performed very well and progressed as the tournament went on. With two wins, two draws and a final game loss and 115 minutes of hockey later, the squad achieved a very creditable second place.

With all students  under 17 years of age, they will still be eligible for selection next year, so we’ll be looking to go ‘one better’ next time!

The team will go on to the Regional round on Wednesday 16 November.
