UIV French & History trip

on

Last Thursday we went to London for a French and History trip where we visited the BFI to watch the film ‘Le voyage de Fanny’.

Before the film began we had a talk where we learnt about the context of the film as well as more about the persecution of Jews during WWII. The film showed the true story of Fanny leading a group of Jewish children to Switzerland which was a neutral country so they would be safe.

The film was in French meaning it was a fantastic way to practise French and learn more about the experience of Jewish people in WWII, specifically children.
