On Monday 13 May, the U12 cricketers played their first cricket fixture, against Reading Blue Coat girls.

The U12’s demonstrated good consistency in their bowling, with Charlotte being nominated as player of the match for her fast, powerful and accurate deliveries to the Blue Coat batters.

Batting pairs communicated effectively and made some excellent runs, with Aadhira being nominated as the batting player of the match and Yoana and Simra totalling the highest number of runs for two overs. Unfortunately the Abbey girls couldn’t match Blue Coats’ run total on this occasion, however, with continued commitment to training, we are hopeful for our next match.
