Recently, I performed in the Maidenhead Festival of Music and Dance competing in the G2 category (Grades 4-5) in the instrumental section.

I played two of my Grade 4 pieces: Midwinter by Hilary Taggart and Sea Horses by Roma Cafolla achieving a bronze medal with an overall mark of 82 which was within the ‘Commended’ category. 

My accompanist was Jean Garrett and the adjudicator was Rosie Whitfield. They were both amazing and taught me some valuable lessons. They gave constructive feedback so I can continue to improve. 

It was a fantastic experience and I got to listen to some more advanced musicians which really inspired me.
