Tess Howard hosts The Abbey’s Sports Dinner

on

Last Friday, The Abbey hosted its annual Sports Dinner to recognise and celebrate the achievement of our Lower V through to Upper VI student athletes. These individuals contribution to sport, both at school in the broader community, include impressive performances representing their school in their day-to-day scholastic fixtures in addition to their selection for, and competition at, county, regional, and national level competitions.

We had the pleasure of having Tess Howard in attendance who, in addition to representing England and Team GB in the Commonwealth Games and and 2024 Olympic Games respectively, is at the forefront of social change in sport. She began by sharing her experience as an elite athlete, both her success and her adversity, and how it helped influence her decision to become one of the leading advocates for athletes’ choice and comfort in sport.
