Swim England South East Regional Championships

on

I recently competed at the Swim England South East Regional Championships over a series of two weekends 22-23 April and 13-14 May. The weekends were a rollercoaster of emotions for me, ranging from fear and anxiety to letdown and elation.

Swim England south east region is one of the most competitive regions with some of the fastest times and I have been training hard for months to be able to qualify for the regionals.. I had succeeded in qualifying to compete in 14 swim events.

I reached finals for four of the events and went on to win two silver medals in 100M and 200M Freestyle.

My ranking in the region for the other events are :

100M butterfly – 6th
400M freestyle – 8th
1500M freestyle -10th
50M freestyle – 6th.

I am also happy to share that I have three qualifying times for the nationals to be held in August. I am super excited and eagerly looking forward to experiencing my first national championship. These past two weekends there have been some incredible learning and I feel I have grown a lot from this experience.
