On Monday, our Sixth Form IBDP students celebrated outstanding results, securing places on a wide range of prestigious university courses and highly competitive career pathways.

The IB Diploma at The Abbey offered students a rigorous and well-rounded learning experience, developing critical thinking, global awareness, independent research and strong academic skills.

Across the cohort, students are progressing to an impressive variety of destinations and courses, reflecting The Abbey’s commitment to helping every individual find the path that is right for them.

Success stories include future doctors taking up places to study Medicine at Nottingham and Leeds, alongside students progressing to study English and Modern Foreign Languages at Edinburgh and Law at Nottingham. Other students are pursuing highly competitive alternatives to traditional university study, including a coveted PwC Degree Apprenticeship and professional flight training at Leading Edge Aviation Academy.

Among the many exceptional achievements, Thea attained the maximum possible IB Diploma score of 45 points out of 45, placing her among the highest-achieving IB students globally. This extraordinary result has secured her place at the University of Cambridge, where she will study Human, Social, and Political Sciences.
