The summer holidays were certainly not a quiet time for sisters Grace, Upper VI and Margaret, Upper IV, who both made excellent use of their time away from school to develop their skills, gain new experiences and give back to the community.
Grace began her summer with an outstanding musical achievement. She took her Grade 7 Piano examination with the Trinity College London board, achieving full marks and a Distinction. Her exceptional result reflects the dedication, commitment and many hours of practice she has put into developing her piano playing. She was delighted to receive her certificate. Her younger sister, Margaret, was equally busy throughout the summer. Alongside continuing her charitable work with the Salvation Army, for which she generously uses her pocket money to support those in need, Margaret also took the opportunity to explore different careers through virtual work experience.
Margaret, who just turned 13 years old at the end of August, successfully completed three virtual work experience programmes, receiving certificates in Architectural Insight, Barclays Life Skills and Legal Careers with TLT. These experiences have allowed her to learn more about different professional fields, develop valuable skills and gain a greater understanding of possible future career paths.
It has been wonderful to see both sisters using their summer holidays so positively, Grace through her dedication to music and Margaret through her commitment to learning, career development and charitable work.
Their achievements are a wonderful example of how determination, curiosity and a willingness to help others can make the most of opportunities both inside and outside the classroom. We congratulate Grace and Margaret on their impressive accomplishments and look forward to seeing what they achieve next!
