St Lukes Care Home

on

Grace W in Upper IV visited St Lukes Care Home in Caversham over the weekend and spread a bit of Christmas spirit amongst the residents. They really appreciated all of the donations and everyone had smiles on their faces as they received their gifts. Thank you to everyone who contributed.

The young carers around also received some small presents from Grace and they were all touched by the gesture. Grace had the privilege of meeting up with a 93 year old lady again and they exchanged cards and caught up over afternoon tea and a slice of cake. Grace also met her friends John and Allan Wicks, and she learnt that Allan’s son is Steven Wicks, a famous footballer! The afternoon was closed by singing carols accompanied by Grace playing the piano.

Grace has been invited to play for them again during the February half term.
