Isabella was awarded the Junior PE Cup at the recent Sports Award evening at the Senior School. Below she describes her sporting passions and commitment to excel in all she does.
“I compete in hockey, cross country and athletics outside of school and within school I am able to compete in more sports, including, netball, tennis, cricket and football, alongside hockey, cross country and athletics. I normally train hockey at least once every day, but currently, in the summer off-season I only train around 4/5 times a week. I go for runs alone 2/3 a week or attend 2 training sessions a week, around my hockey. My favourite part of sport is being able to push myself to the limit and testing my limits. I enjoy the mental side of sport, particularly the competition with other athletes, as well, the 1v1s and the tussles for the ball.
“When I was awarded the trophy I was shocked and felt incredibly grateful to be given such an accolade. I am incredibly fortunate and grateful to have had many brilliant coaches at school and outside of school who have helped me in my different sports. I look forward to continuing my sports in the future and pushing myself and trying to advance my level as much as possible, however, my ultimate goal is to play for England Hockey one day.”
