Last week Upper IV and Lower V watched a comedic play performed by two Spanish actors. Although the entirety of this play was performed in Spanish, it was still extremely engaging as the actors spoke slowly and clearly, and with their body language they made sure that we all understood.
Everyone was involved – the actors asked people to introduce themselves in Spanish, and told us to repeat some phrases after them, so that we could practise our pronunciation. We learned how to say phrases to do with camping, for example, tent = tienda, campsite = campamento, tetera = kettle.
The performance was extremely funny – the characters were constantly bickering with each other, and even took someone’s shoe! It was immensely entertaining, and we all enjoyed it.
