Social Enterprise Hub Commences

on

Here we go again!

After a great team-building workshop last week when the 30 students from The Abbey and Reading School met for the first time, this week’s lecture got the ball rolling in terms of learning about what a Social Enterprise is and how it might deliver the triple bottom line benefits of People, Planet & Profit.

Over the next six months, the five mixed teams will develop ideas for their own Social Enterprises, culminating in the finale, where they will pitch for funding to turn their dreams into reality.

This year’s programme has evolved and the lectures are being delivered by Ellen W. and Sam Hirsch – undergraduates at the University of Reading who have started brilliantly and set the tone for a successful year ahead.

Watch this space for more news as we progress through the workshops and lectures.
