RI masterclass

On Saturday, we went to the Royal Maths Institute masterclass and were absorbed into a new world of mathematics. The focus for this particular session was infinity. Now, most of us would never really question the idea of infinity, would we? It’s never ending, limitless, boundless and unimaginable. Well, there always comes a time when we do, in fact, have to acknowledge the real idea of infinity. During this particular session, we explored Euclid’s elements, Zeno’s paradox, Pythagoras, irrational numbers and the complex conundrum that is infinity. Although this was very challenging and we were faced with A-Level style maths, this was an incredibly enjoyable session and we can’t wait for what other topics we will explore next!
