Reception trip to Turret

on

Reception stepped back in time recently after a short walk from Knell to Turret House. Here they were warmly greeted by Mrs Bushrod and one of the Head girls, Lily.

They explored the artefacts, photographs and documents displayed in the Abbey School Museum to find out how our school has changed since it was founded in 1887.

Lily answered many of their questions about life in the Senior School so that the children could compare the similarities and differences with their school day. Reception’s highlight was clearly investigating uniforms of the past. They took great delight trying on items of clothing.
