Reception mapping adventure

on

Reception have started the term by learning about maps and directions. They have looked at map keys, considered the world from a bird’s eye view and used positional and directional language to describe routes and the position of objects. Using vocabulary such as left, right, in-between and opposite, they have described small world scenes, created their own maps and explored mazes, giving directions to animals to help them find their way out. We also went on a mapping walk of our school grounds where we used technology to track our route and discuss it on our return. We will never get lost now!
