Reception Harvest Tea

on

Last week Reception families came together for a celebratory Harvest Tea in our Somerleaze studio. Inspired by ‘The Little Red Hen,’ the children prepared for the event by learning about how wheat is ground into flour and then made into bread. They made their very own bread rolls, which they shared with their families dipped into delicious soup. Parents were treated to a performance of songs and poems, which judging by our audience participation had also been practised at home too! The children then crafted wooden house tea light holders to take home with them to light up their window sills as the Autumn nights draw in.
