Pen Recycling

on

Over the last year, teachers and students at the senior school have been careful not to throw their old pens into the rubbish bins. Instead, they have been dropping them off at recycling points around the school. So far, we have collected 7 kilograms worth of used pens to be recycled. By recycling pens, the Abbey is not only keeping them out of landfills but also working to reduce the amount of plastic waste that ends up in our oceans along with reducing microplastic waste that poses a serious threat to animals and ecosystems. Students are encouraged to continue leaving their old pens at the recycling point in the reception area.
