Paget Wins House Swimming 2026

on

This year’s House Swimming Gala was a fantastic display of talent, determination, and house spirit, with students from all year groups competing across a wide range of events. From individual races such as the 100m IM and 25m strokes to the ever-exciting relay events, every race contributed valuable points towards the overall standings.

The competition was fierce throughout the gala, with Paget emerging as the overall winners with an impressive 133 points, closely followed by Kensington on 126. Ducat secured third place with 90 points, while Carrington finished in fourth with 88. Strong performances were seen across all year groups, particularly from Paget, who consistently placed highly, and Kensington, who dominated in several categories including Upper IV and the combined Lower V & Upper V events.

A highlight of the event was the breaking of two school records. Anaya S (Upper 5) delivered an outstanding performance in the 25m butterfly, setting a new record time of 14.81 seconds. This was matched by an equally impressive swim from Imogen S (Lower 6), who broke the 25m front crawl record. Congratulations to both for your outstanding performance!

The atmosphere throughout the gala was energetic, with loads of student and staff cheering passionately for their houses from the balcony. Overall, the event was a celebration of effort, resilience, and teamwork. It was also great to have such a large number of swimmers taking part, many for the first time. Thank you to everyone who took part and I look forward to seeing you back again next year!
