Esha in Upper V has been shortlisted for the Orwell Youth Prize 2024. Her creative writing piece titled ‘Returning Home’ was in the top 5% of submissions from the 815 entries received from young writers across the UK.

As a shortlisted writer, Esha is invited to the Orwell Youth Prize Celebration Day on Saturday 6 July at University College London. Her day will include:

· a chance to meet Richard Blair (Orwell’s son), other shortlisted entrants, some of this year’s judges, and Orwell Foundation staff and trustees.

· a writing workshop with Orwell Youth Prize 2024 Judge, and Coventry Poet Laureate, John Bernard.

· the opportunity to share her writing with an audience.
