Orchestra Leads the Way in a Heart-Warming Carol Assembly

on

In our morning assembly on Thursday, the Junior School Orchestra led us beautifully in singing some festive tunes. They began the singalong with ‘Silent Night’ and then played some traditional carols: ‘God Rest Ye Merry, Gentlemen,’ ‘Away in a Manger,’ ‘The First Noel’ and ‘Deck the Halls.’ The Junior School girls and staff all sang with great gusto (Deck the Halls was a collective favourite). To finish, the Orchestra played a surprise finale of ‘Jingle Bells,’ much to the joy of the Lower and Upper Prep girls! The Junior Orchestra rehearse every Thursday morning before school with Miss Martinez. They have worked extremely hard throughout the Autumn term to produce an impressive catalogue of songs – well done girls and keep up the practice!
