On Friday 23 June the Richards Hall transformed with professional sound system, lighting, dance floor and bar. It must be the night of rock! Bands from the Abbey, Highdown School and Sixth Form Centre and Berkshire Maestros Sound Stage wowed the appreciative crowd with hits from the Red Hot Chilli Peppers to Blur as well as a host of fantastic original numbers. Even Mr le Fleming fronted one of the bands with an iconic performance of Can’t Stop. The evening was topped off with a fantastic set by local band, Side Hustle who truly rocked the hall and had everyone up on their feet and shouting for more!

The night of rock was the culmination of the fantastic Celebration of Music week which saw a huge number of students and staff involved in an eclectic array of music making the whole school come alive with the sound of music!
