National Youth Music Theatre

on

Back in February I auditioned for National Youth Music Theatre and after auditions and recalls I was offered a place in ‘NYMT in concert: ‘When I grow up’. This consisted of a week away in April in Tonbridge. During this week the Director, James Robert Moore and Musical Director, Matt Herbert (along with a lighting designer and different stage managers) worked with a cast of 40 of us from around the UK and Ireland and made the whole show which consists of different extracts from different musicals e.g Parade, Into the woods, The colour Purple, newsies and more.

One of my highlights from the week was the first time everyone sung together, hearing everyone’s voices put together was such a special moment and was appreciated by everyone, by the end of the week I had made friends for life and I am so grateful to be a part of such a strong, professional and talented group of performers and we are performing in theatres in London this summer!
