The Music Scholars’ Concert and Dinner proved to be a thoroughly enchanting evening, offering students the opportunity not only to perform but also to celebrate the remarkable talents of their fellow scholars. With a rich variety of instruments showcased, the programme spanned an impressive range of musical styles, travelling gracefully from the elegance of the Baroque era to the energy of contemporary works; even showcasing an original composition.

The dinner that followed provided a welcoming setting for families to come together, united by their shared love of music. Lively conversations flowed easily around the tables, adding to the sense of community and enjoyment. The Richards Hall itself was transformed into an elegant venue, beautifully enhanced by thoughtful musical decorations, and the dinner was enjoyed by all.
If any of the performers felt a few pre-concert nerves, these quickly gave way to confident and accomplished performances in front of a highly appreciative audience. The carefully designed lighting helped musicians remain focused on their music, allowing each performance to shine. It was a rewarding experience for the scholars to present pieces they had worked on so diligently, in such a professional setting and before a large audience.

The success of the evening was made possible by the dedication and collaboration of the Music, Catering and Estates teams, whose planning and organisation ensured everything ran seamlessly. Special thanks are also extended to Miss Tull for her outstanding accompaniment, which added a final flourish to an already exceptional event.
