Monochromatic Art in Lower Prep

on

Students in Lower Prep explored monochromatic art and the many different lines and tones which can be made with a pencil in their Art lesson this week.

They were inspired by the Swiss-born German artist Paul Klee to experiment with taking a line for a walk in their sketchbooks. They drew vertical lines, horizontal lines, diagonal lines, zigzag lines, and curved lines. Next, they tested how holding their pencils in different ways created different tones on the paper.
