Miss Power’s Wedding Cake

on

On Saturday 15th February my friends from Sugar Craft Club and I were selected from the hat to form the delivery team for Miss Power’s wedding cake.  I really enjoyed the day and thought it was a great experience.

First we arrived and made some beautiful orange bows for the front of the cake, then we got to the scary part, stacking the tiers! Luckily, it went smoothly and everything was coming together nicely. We made corsages (groups of flowers wrapped together with special tape) and we added our handmade sugar berries, leaves and flowers into the corsages. We had all the pieces for the cake so it was time to decorate.  We added flowers, glitter and we used our icing skills to pipe small details on the fondant. When the cake was done it looked excellent! Overall I am very grateful I got to come and help everybody with the wedding cake!  Miss Power said that it exceeded her expectations.
