This week in Food and Nutrition, we worked with Mr Dennedy’s Upper IV English class. Here is what they had to say about the lesson, which was fun for all.
In my English class this week we worked with Food and Nutrition and we made a Mexican dish called Mole.
This was to experiment with reading instructions, of which were written with less detail to try and make a meal. This was under our topic of anthology. We blended ingredients like dark chocolate, canned tomatoes and onions in order to make the sauce. Although the idea of using dark chocolate to make a dish seemed strange, the Mole didn’t taste too bad. I really enjoyed the lesson as it was very fun and we made a meal which many of us had never tried before. Harriet, Upper IV
This week Mr Dennedy’s Upper IV English Class linked with Food and Nutrition to create ‘Chocolate Mole’, which is an interpretation of a Mexican dish. The aim of this activity was for the girls to understand the need for good instructions, and clarity in writing. All of the girls thoroughly enjoyed this lesson, and it was a great way to end the term! Agnes Upper IV
