German Play

The week before Easter, Lower IV and Upper IV German students were treated to a lovely play entirely in German. The show, brought to The Abbey by the Onatti Theatre Company, saw the wonderful Lower IV rising to the challenge of understanding a whole play in German despite only having studied the language for a year.

It also met with great success with the Upper IV, who were brave enough to interact with the actors during the performance. Well done, everyone.

Easter Egg Painting

Lower IV students marked the Easter holiday in full German style by painting Ostereier..

Armed with brushes and paint, our Germanists let their artistic flair loose and then hung their colourful creations from a traditional Osternstrauß in the Richards Hall. Like every year, it is an absolute joy to see the students so engaged and curious about German traditions!
