Lunar New Year in Little Knellies!

on

Our Little Knellies were immersed in a riot of colour and excitement last week as we celebrated the vibrant traditions of the Lunar New Year, welcoming in the Year of the Horse! The highlight of our festivities was a wonderful collaboration with our Reception children, fostering a sense of community and shared cultural experience. Together, the children participated in a lively carousel of activities designed to introduce them to the rich customs of the Lunar New Year, including dragon dances, dress-up and role-play. They even decorated lucky red envelopes to take home for their families with golden treasure inside. The day was complete with a musical retelling of the Chinese zodiac story.
