On Thursday evening, the new Lower VI students gathered for an evening of pizza, laughter, and friendly competition as part of their induction into Sixth Form. The event was designed to give students a chance to relax, bond, and get to know each other outside the classroom.

The night kicked off with a lively quiz, featuring multiple rounds that tested everything from general knowledge to a hilarious challenge: “Guess the Teacher from the Baby Photo.” Students quickly discovered that recognising staff in their infant years was harder than it sounded, though the round provided plenty of laughs.
After the quiz, the energy shifted to group games. “Mafia” brought out the best in bluffing and quick thinking, while “Herd Mentality” encouraged students to think like the crowd in order to win points – often with surprising and funny results.

Of course, no induction event would be complete without food, and stacks of pizzas kept everyone fuelled for the evening’s activities. Sharing a meal together helped break the ice, and the relaxed atmosphere made it easy for new friendships to form.
The whole evening was brilliantly organised and led by our wonderful Head Girls, Emily and Leah, ably assisted by Upper VI Officers: Sophie, Laylajoy, Joshika, Molly, Ava, Emily Annabelle, Millie and Martha whose energy and creativity ensured the event was a huge success.

The Pizza & Games Night was a fantastic way to welcome the Lower VI into the Abbey Sixth Form community. Judging by the laughter and enthusiasm throughout the evening, the year group is off to a strong start – and ready for the exciting challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.
