Lower VI IB Trip to The Great Gatsby

on

Last Thursday, the Lower VI IB English cohort took a trip to the London Coliseum to watch a dazzling performance of The Great Gatsby. This exciting trip was more than just a fun day out, it was designed to help students gain a deeper understanding of the text and its characters, ahead of studying it in Upper VI next year. From the glittering costumes to the atmospheric music, the production brought F. Scott Fitzgerald’s Jazz Age masterpiece to life in spectacular fashion. Amy, shared her thoughts on the performance: “I really enjoyed going to see The Great Gatsby. The music was amazing and the costumes were very cool; I didn’t expect the ending and it was an amazing twist!”

Trips like this are a great way to bring literature off the page and into the real world, and this one certainly didn’t disappoint!
