Lower VI Conference

on

On Tuesday 11 June we participated in a series of informative seminars as part of the Lower VI Conference.

The conference aimed to help prepare us for our future life during and after university.

Everyone was given a personalised timetable reflecting their interests. Across fourteen sessions, we were given a choice of inspirational speakers on subjects as diverse as how to lead change, how to network with confidence, and how to help people through working with a charity. In addition to giving great advice, the speakers answered our questions on their experiences.

This day helped us all to think about all the different ways to go after school, and a major theme was to follow what interests you, without thinking about what other people will say.

We made some amazing contacts and listened to incredible advice from experts, many of whom were alumnae.

Thanks to all the speakers who gave their time so generously.
