Lower V House Bake Off!

on

This week the Lower V house bakers met to battle it out in the Food Room.

The recipe for French tarts was challenging, but it did not beat the bakers who embraced the idea with colour and flair.  The Carrington bakers chose to colour their pastry and creme patissiere and leave no doubt in the judges’ minds as to who had baked the purple ones!  The House Masters and Mistresses got stuck in and joined the fun, making the dishes as appealing as possible for the esteemed judges.

Ms Brunskill lead the judges, with a professional opinion from our Senior School Executive Chef, Mr Duckworth and creative input from Mrs Bushrod from the Engagement and Development team.  It was a tough decision, but in the end Paget team 1 won with Kensington 1 in silver and Carrington 1 in bronze.

Well done! To our wonderful bakers for the effort and excitement that you brought to the Food Room this week.
