Lower V Foodies Go Veggie!

on

Last week in our theory lesson we studied different diets for age groups and energy requirements. Following on, this week we researched a suitable dish for a teenager and all made our own selection.

I made Italian meringue macarons, following on from our food science work the week before when we compared the properties of different meringues. It challenged me, but I really enjoyed making them and I will use my experience to improve them further next time I make them. My friend Amira came to test them with me and gave her seal of approval on their taste and texture.

Some of my friends in the group made curries and mac and cheese with their own pasta. We made changes and adjustments to the presentation of our dishes, trying different styles and looks. Everyone really tried their best! The group said that it was a good lesson, the most fun yet!
