This week, The Abbey and Reading School held a Lower Sixth quiz night. Reeti (Lower VI Deputy Head Girl) gave her thoughts on the evening.

After planning our charity quiz night in association with Reading School for the last few weeks, we all came together on Tuesday to raise money for our chosen international charity. Having been a part of writing the quiz, and part of the judging panel, it was wonderful to see everyone taking part so enthusiastically – even the teachers!

To conclude the five rounds (Who said that?, Geography, Sport, Science and Film), teams completed a set of dingbats. A nervous final tallying of points was followed by the announcing of our winner: ‘Is this the real life, is this just fanta sea’ (aka Team 4). 

Prizes were also given to runners up, 3rd place and last place. In total, we raised almost £200 pounds for charity. 

The quiz night was the latest of our Sixth Form collaborations with Reading School, and possibly the most relaxed and fun yet!
