This week, the Lower Prep students practised balancing during their gymnastics lessons. Working on the mats, beams, boxes and bench, the children balanced in different positions, using their hands, feet and knees.
They were encouraged to make lots of different shapes with their bodies, and to think about using muscle groups such as the tummy muscles to help them stay balanced in their shape positions. The children came up with some brilliant ideas and were able to give super verbal descriptions of the different positions they were holding.
