As part of our PE curriculum, which is designed to develop the physical, social, and emotional skills of our students and to encourage a lifelong love of being active, Lower III enjoyed a fantastic trip to Dinton Pastures on Monday.

The day was packed with adventure and new challenges, as the students took part in stand-up paddleboarding, raft building, and climbing. These activities not only tested their physical skills but also encouraged teamwork, resilience, and independence in a fun and supportive setting.

There was plenty of laughter on the water as students balanced on their paddle boards — with many taking an unexpected (but refreshing!) dip in the lake. On the climbing tower, they showed great courage and determination, each pushing themselves to climb as far as they felt comfortable. The raft-building challenge brought out brilliant collaboration and problem-solving skills, as teams worked together to create rafts strong enough to carry them across the lake to reach the buoy.

The trip was a wonderful opportunity for the students to step out of their comfort zones, support one another, and celebrate their achievements. We hope the experience has inspired them to continue exploring new activities and sports beyond school, while also helping them to grow in confidence, build self-esteem, and, most importantly, have fun through physical activity.
