Lower I & Upper I Sports Day

on

What a fabulous morning showcasing speed, stamina, balance, agility, not to mention grit, determination and teamwork at the Lower I and Upper I Sports Day this Tuesday! All students took part in several races competing for their houses, and it was lovely to see all of our Lower Juniors come together and support each other.

Here’s what some of our students had to say:
‘I liked Sports Day a lot, especially in the bean bag pick up when I sprinted to the end; I got very tired but I didn’t give up!’ Ashira Upper I
‘My favourite part was the Obstacle Relay because we had to work together and be focussed.’ Ahana Upper I

A particular mention to the following students who broke records this year:
Neriah broke the Upper I Hurdles record in a time of 8:44 seconds
Rosa broke the Upper I Egg and Spoon record in a time of 11:75 seconds
Dora set the Lower I Skipping record in a time of 11:12 seconds
Amelia set the Upper I Skipping record in a time of 8:81 seconds
Ruby set the Lower I Bean Bag record in a time of 41:31 seconds
Lara set the Upper I Bean Bag record in a time of 57:75 seconds

The final overall results of the event were as follows:
4th place – Paget
3rd place – Carrington
2nd place – Kensington
1st place – Ducat
