Let’s Sing

on

On the last Friday of the Spring term, the Chamber Choir from the Junior School sang in the finals of Let’s Sing – an annual amateur choir competition that raises money for the Mayor of Reading’s charities.  Fifteen choirs from local schools and the community were invited to sing in the finals on March 24 at the Hexagon.

The evening started with all choirs singing one song to the judges who then chose eight choirs, during the interval, to go through to the final round in the second half.  Members of the Chamber Choir were delighted to have been chosen to sing in the final round and were also excited to hear that The ABCs (The Abbey Barbershop Collection) from the Senior School also made it through. The second half saw the choirs sing a second song and the judges then made their decision.  We would like to congratulate all the choirs that took part and the winning choirs on the night.  It was a wonderful experience to sing in our local theatre and for the community and the choir certainly sang their hearts out.
